The one thing a new resort cannot buy
Anyone can build a lawn and a swimming pool. Nobody can buy 32 years of finding out what actually goes wrong at a wedding for eight hundred people, or how to feed four hundred office colleagues without a queue.
Gold Coins Club & Resort began with a bet almost nobody else was willing to make. In 1994 — years before Electronic City became the name the world knows — Mr. Dayananda Reddy chose twelve acres of farmland at Andapura, off Huskur Road, and built a club and resort on it. Born in Anekal, just down the road, he had watched Bengaluru from close enough to read its direction: the city, he was convinced, would grow south, and the families and companies that came with it would need somewhere green to escape to. Three decades on, around a lakh guests a year prove him right.
The same instincts run through everything he has built since — build early, build green, look after people. Through the Dayananda Foundation, started in 2010, he has supported free education and employment for nearly 7,500 underprivileged students across Karnataka, who have together planted more than 50,000 trees in Bengaluru. The resort is those values in twelve acres: planted decades ago, grown patiently, and run for the people in it.
You can still see the beginning. Our Heritage Cottages are the resort's original buildings, kept in the old architectural style the property started with — the thick walls, the proportions of a Bengaluru that existed before the tech parks. Staying in one is the closest thing to visiting the resort in its first years, with three decades of gardens grown up around it.
That length of service is the honest reason to consider us over a newer property twice as far out. Kitchens that have cooked for 400 people know what to prepare in advance. Staff who have handled thirty monsoons know when to move a reception indoors, and how quickly it can be done. A pool that has been supervised for decades has settled routines around safety and timings. None of this photographs well. All of it matters on the day.

Day outings
The busiest thing we do. Families, friends and office teams arrive in the morning, use the pool, the rain dance, the lawns and the games, eat two meals with us and drive home the same evening.

Stays
59 rooms and cottages across six categories, from a standalone heritage cottage to a suite with its own plunge pool. Check-in 2:00 PM, check-out 12:00 noon.

Weddings
The main lawn seats 400 and holds 1,000 floating; the banquet hall seats 800. Outside catering, outside decorators, DJ and alcohol are all permitted.

Corporate offsites
Teams of twenty to five hundred, from the Electronic City tech parks and further out. A session in the hall, activities on the lawn, a buffet, and rooms if it runs overnight.

Birthdays and family get-togethers
Poolside, patio lawn or the air-conditioned banquet hall, depending on the season and the size of the family. Milestone birthdays, naming ceremonies, reunions and retirements.

Restaurant, bar and Sunday brunch
Open to visitors as well as resident guests. Sunday brunch is a half-day out rather than just a meal, and it is what brings a lot of Electronic City families here the first time.
The grounds
What is actually on the property
One campus, walkable end to end. The swimming pool and the rain dance area sit at the centre of it, with changing rooms alongside. The main lawn runs beside them, big enough for 1,000 people standing, and the patio lawn gives a smaller, shadier space for a haldi or a team lunch.
The banquet hall is fully covered and air conditioned, which is what makes a monsoon wedding or a July town hall possible here at all. Add the poolside area and the total comes to 22,000 sq ft of usable event space across four venues. Rooms and cottages sit apart from the event areas, so a function and a quiet night can happen on the same evening.
Then the ordinary, unglamorous things that decide how a day goes: free on-site parking inside the campus with room for buses and tempo travellers, power backup for the kitchen and the sound, step-free access to the restaurant, hall and lawns, and indoor games for the hour when it rains.

Most of our bookings still start with a phone call or a WhatsApp message rather than a form, and that suits us. You get a real quote for your date, your headcount and your menu instead of a starting price that changes later.
We reply within 2 hours, 24×7. If something cannot be done — a date is taken, a headcount does not fit a space, a timing will not work — we will say so rather than take an advance and manage it afterwards.
